Marvel Reveals Hero Costumes Of Ma Dong Seok And "The Eternals" Cast

Ma Dong Seok has transformed into a superhero!

On August 24, “2019 D23 Expo” took place in Anaheim, California. The expo occurs once every two years and all studios under Disney, including Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Pixar, ABC, and more, participate to reveal new information on upcoming films.

During this year’s expo, the first concept image for “The Eternals” were revealed. Along with Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, and more lead actors attended the event during which images of the actors wearing their superhero costumes were revealed for the first time. Ma Dong Seok appeared prominently with his trademark tough aura in a green and golden suit.

“The Eternals” will be about a superhuman race called the Eternals that was birthed millions of years ago as a result of genetic experiments on Earth by the Celestials. Ma Dong Seok will play the role of Gilgamesh, a hero with super strength that competes with the likes of Thor and Hercules. Although the original comic character was not Asian, Marvel revealed that they adjusted the character in order to cast Ma Dong Seok.

Furthermore, during a brief interview, the cast of “The Eternals” talked about the difficulty of not being able to reveal that they had been cast in the film. Ma Dong Seok also shared his excitement for being cast as the role of Gilgamesh.

“The Eternals” will premiere on November 6 in 2020. Take a closer look at each of the character’s costumes below!
