BTS Breaks Event Cinema Records With “Bring The Soul: The Movie”
BTS’s latest movie has set a new record!
On August 28 local time, Variety reported that BTS’s third event cinema release “Bring the Soul: The Movie” sold 2.55 million tickets.
The film premiered on August 7 and was released in 122 territories and more than 5,000 movie theaters, making it the widest ever release for an event cinema film. It earned $24.3 million worldwide, landed top 10 positions during its opening weekends in the United States and the United Kingdom with $4.5 million earned just in the United States.
This follows BTS’s other successful event cinema releases. The group’s first-ever event cinema film “Burn the Stage: The Movie” set a U.S. box office record, which was then broken by BTS’s second film “Love Yourself in Seoul” which earned $11.7 million worldwide.
BTS recently released “Bring the Soul: Docu-Series” on August 27 via Big Hit’s app Weverse.
Congratulations to BTS!
