BTOB's Yook Sungjae, Hwang Jung Eum, And More Confirmed For New JTBC Drama

Yook Sungjae and Hwang Jung Eum have been confirmed for a drama that they were previously in talks for.

On August 29, it was confirmed that the two actors, along with Choi Won Young and Lee Joon Hyuk, will be starring in JTBC’s “Ssang Gap Pocha” (romanized title).

The drama is based on a popular webtoon of the same name, which is rated 10 out of 10 stars on Daum and won the Excellence Award at the 2017 Korea Comic Awards. The story centers around a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) that appears in various places and its customers.

Hwang Jung Eum will be playing Wol Joo, a woman who works at the pojangmacha. Yook Sungjae has been cast as Han Kang Bae, a customer service employee of a supermarket.

Directed by Jeon Chang Geun of “The Queen of Office,” “What Happens to My Family,” and “The Package,” “Ssang Gap Pocha” is set to begin filming next month and will premiere in early 2020.
