Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, Jo Se Ho, And More Show Support For Comedian Kim Chul Min During Battle With Cancer

Comedian Kim Chul Min expressed appreciation for his colleagues.

On August 31, Kim Chul Min shared his thoughts in a phone interview with TV Report. He said, “Yoo Jae Suk, Jo Se Ho, and Nam Chang Hee came to visit me in the hospital not too long ago. They were here for about 30 minutes and gave me an envelope. I was shocked.”

He continued, “To be honest, I had cut off contact because I didn’t want to show them my thin, gaunt appearance. Yoo Jae Suk, Jo Se Ho, and Nam Chang Hee said they came to the hospital without checking to see if I was here. If I hadn’t happened to run into them at the time, they could’ve left without seeing me. So I was even more surprised.”

Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho gave the comedian money to be used towards his medical bills. Kim Chul Min commented, “I opened the envelope not too long ago, and it was a great amount. It’s an amount that can last me for five months. I didn’t even think of it. I’m so moved and grateful. I don’t know how I’ll repay them.”

About Park Myung Soo’s words of support earlier that day on his radio show, Kim Chul Min said, “Park Myung Soo came to the hospital yesterday and bought me a radio. So I listened to it, and I felt so thankful. He said he would play my song. I don’t have good health, but I’m moved every day.”

When asked about his relationship with Yoo Jae Suk, the comedian explained, “We saw each other on TV shows from time to time. When my mother passed away [in 2010], I found out that [Yoo Jae Suk] quietly visited my mother’s mortuary. He was a big star back then too, and I was really thankful. I’ll gather strength and endure it well.”

On his Facebook account, Kim Chul Min shared photos of celebrity friends who came to visit him. He wrote, “Yoo Jae Suk, Jo Se Ho, and Nam Chang Hee came to visit me in the hospital despite their busy schedules. Thank you so so much. Thank you to ‘It’s Raining’ (literal title) singer Kim Dae Hoon and actor Hwang Woo Yeon.”
