X1 Sets New Record With Debut Album's 1st Week As "Quantum Leap" Soars Past Half A Million Sales
X1 has broken a record with amazing sales in the first week after the release of their debut mini album!
The “Produce X 101” group released their first mini album “Quantum Leap” on August 27. By August 30, the physical album surpassed 416,000 copies sold as recorded by Hanteo Chart, setting a new record for first week sales of a debut album by a K-pop group.
As of September 2, “Quantum Leap” has gone on to surpass 524,000 copies sold as recorded by Hanteo Chart! “Quantum Leap” has therefore achieved the highest first week sales for a debut album by a K-pop artist in Hanteo Chart’s history. The previous record was set by Kang Daniel when over 466,000 copies of his debut album “Color on Me” sold in the first week.
“Quantum Leap” is also the seventh best-selling K-pop idol album for first week sales according to Hanteo Chart’s records. The only artists to sell more in their first week on Hanteo are BTS and EXO.
“Quantum Leap” also scored the second highest first week sales of a 2019 album so far, with BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 1 with 2.1 million sold.
Congratulations to X1!
