8 Sweet Cross-Group K-Pop Bromances That Are Peak Friendship Goals
The K-pop industry keeps expanding every day, and with that new alliances unfold. Idol groups mostly meet each other on music shows or during festivals and year-end ceremonies, especially when they work together on collaborative stages. Sometimes these professional relationships grow into beautiful friendships, and we find ourselves blessed with heartwarming bonds between our favorite stars.
Here, in no particular order, are some amazing cross-group idol bromances that are simply goals!
1. BTS’s Jungkook and GOT7’s Yugyeom
This special friendship was born during the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards stage that brought BTS and GOT7 together. Being their respective groups’ maknae is not the only thing Jungkook and Yugyeom have in common, as they both also enjoy bowling and hang out whenever they get the chance. Both have stated that they’re each other’s closest idol friend, and they often show their strong bond on camera (much to fans’ delight!)
2. EXO’s Xiumin and NCT’s Mark
Even if we didn’t know how these two first met, we could guess that it was because they’re label mates. Xiumin heard about Mark from the agency staff and was curious to meet him in person, but their relationship is far more than just a senior-junior one. Xiumin takes good care of Mark and always looks after him like an older brother, and they even released a song together. Talk about bromance at its finest!
3. SHINee’s Key and INFINITE’s Nam Woohyun
Key and Woohyun have been longtime friends ever since their appearance on a radio show back in 2011, and they’ve even released music together as a subunit called Toheart. The two buddies are always there for one another, as exemplified during Woohyun’s solo album showcase (which was hosted by none other than Key). Their bond has been going strong over the years, and we’re here for it!
4. GOT7’s Jackson and BTS’s RM
This list features another GOTBANG bromance, and rightfully so! In case you didn’t know, RM and Jackson are such good friends that they even have their own ship name, “Rapson” (which they came up with themselves). While it’d be amazing to see some more of them onscreen, we’re still enamored by the few precious moments that we have witnessed so far. The duo’s latest sweet example was when RM texted Jackson exactly one minute after midnight to wish him a happy birthday!
5. Block B’s P.O and WINNER’s Song Mino
P.O and Mino go way back, since before they even joined the entertainment industry. They lived together for a few years and have been best friends ever since, making a lot of good memories in the process. The clip below gives viewers a glimpse of their relationship, which naturally contains a fair dose of good-natured bickering!
6. B1A4’s Gongchan and VIXX’s Hongbin
From rubbing their noses together on “SimSimTaPa” all the way to making it on “Celebrity Bromance” a few years later, this duo came to be in the cutest way possible! Gongchan and Hongbin share one of the purest friendships in the industry, and have been flaunting it for years now (as they should!)
7. Super Junior’s Yesung and EXO’s Chanyeol
Another pair from the same label joins the lineup, and it’s none other than Chanyeol and Yesung! The two friends often share snippets of their hangouts together on social media, which further highlights how close they are. They even expressed their desire to be on “Celebrity Bromance” together, and one thing is for sure: we will definitely be tuning in when that happens!
8. MONSTA X and SEVENTEEN
There is so much bromance going on between these two groups that picking specific members is literally impossible! SEVENTEEN and MONSTA X have been tight since their rookie days, as both debuted in May 2015 (just 12 days apart). Because they usually make their comebacks around the same time, the 20 total members keep blessing us with their heartwarming interactions that fill our souls with joy. Plus, their hilarious teasing is a big bonus!
