B.A.P's Youngjae Confirmed To Star In Upcoming KBS Drama

B.A.P’s Youngjae will be starring in KBS2’s new drama “9.9 Billion Woman” (literal title)!

On September 6, Dmost Entertainment announced, “Youngjae has been confirmed to star in ‘9.9 Billion Woman,’ and this will be his first effort in a traditional drama.”

“9.9 Billion Woman” is a story of a woman who faces the world after coincidentally getting her hands on 9.9 billion won (approximately $8.3 million) in cash. Jo Yeo Jeong has been confirmed to play Jung Seo Yeon, the woman who holds the key to the 9.9 billion won in cash, and Kim Kang Woo will play Kang Tae Woo, the ex-cop who meets Jung Seo Yeon while digging up the truth about his younger sibling’s death.

Youngjae will be taking on the role of part-timer Kim Seok, who works at the PC Bang (internet cafe) managed by Kang Tae Woo. Although he seems ordinary, he’s a computer fiend who is widely known for his skills in hacking since his middle school and high school days.

In 2018, Youngjae made his acting debut through JTBC’s web drama “Kim Seul Gi Genius” (literal title) as the lead character Chun Cha Dol. Recently, Youngjae has been busy with the release of his first solo album “Fancy,” showcasing his abilities as an artist through his broadcast, performance, and fan meeting activities.

Youngjae shared, “I’m nervous and excited for my first attempt at a traditional drama. As it’s a challenge I’m taking on with a serious heart, I’ll prepare very hard to do my best to show a perfect Kim Seok.”

“9.9 Billion Woman” will premiere sometime in November.
