Exclusive: Epik High Talks About Their Bucket Lists, MBTI Types, And Tablo's Love For Cats

Ahead of their concert in Singapore, Epik High took some time to answer questions in an exclusive interview with Soompi!

Tablo, Mithra, and Tukutz have been putting out quality music since 2003, touching millions of fans throughout the past 16 years.

In this interview, the members discussed topics related to music and performing. In addition, they shared some hilarious details about themselves and gave advice to fans.

What song makes you feel the happiest?

Tablo: From our songs? Probably “Lullaby For A Cat” because I was most likely a cat in a previous life.

Tukutz: What kind of a cat?

Tablo: A tiger.

Mithra: That’s not really a cat though.

Many people seek comfort in your songs. What inspires you the most when you’re making music?

Tablo: The fact that so many people find emotional comfort by listening to our songs… that is like the biggest compliment to me and that is what inspires me. Because solace is a really difficult thing to attain. When fans tell me that our music helped them, wow… it totally motivates me to keep going and keep working. It gives my life purpose and worth.

What book made the biggest impact on your life?

Tablo: “Gravity’s Rainbow” by Thomas Pynchon.

Tukutz & Mithra: We don’t read.

How do you prepare yourselves before going on stage?

Tukutz: We hold hands and think about the times we’ve had together.

Tablo: And how grateful we are to still be doing this.

What’s your favorite moment when you’re performing onstage?

Mithra: When Tukutz dances.

Tablo: Me too. I also like the “EPIK HIGH TURNS THE CONCERT HALL INTO AN EDM CLUB” portion of the show, which comes during the second half of the show. It is INSANE.

Tukutz: People go nuts. We love it.

What is the most memorable moment you shared with fans?

Mithra: Coachella. It was the first time for a Korean artist, and the venue was huge so we were really nervous… but it got completely packed by the end of it and I will never forget that feeling.

What other countries would you like to visit and perform in?

Tablo: South America!!!

Mithra: India!!!!!!!

Tukutz: Africa!!!!!!!

What are your MBTI personality types?

Tablo: I recently did that test during my podcast (The Tablo Podcast) and apparently I’m an INFP-T.

Mithra: I don’t know mine.

Tukutz: I’m an INFP-T too!

Tablo: We’re soulmates now.

What advice would you give to fans who are trying to overcome hardships?

Tablo: It can be done. My life is proof of that. IT CAN BE DONE. Don’t let anyone, including yourself, tell you otherwise.

What are some things on your bucket list?

Tablo: Being in a Marvel film.

Tukutz: Being in a DC film.

Mithra: Watching these two in these films.

What dramas/tv shows are you currently enjoying?

Tablo: “Mindhunter” on Netflix.

Tukutz: Watching “Walking Dead” again.

Mithra: Finally saw “Birdman” and I loved it.

What are some music styles you would like to try again or for the first time?

Tablo: I’d like to make some classical music. Like a piano symphony. About cats though.
