BTS's RM Dominates Twitter's Worldwide Trends As Fellow Members + Fans Celebrate His Birthday

As BTS’s RM rang in his 25th birthday, his fans and fellow members celebrated the occasion by taking over Twitter with an outpouring of love and affection!

RM officially turned 25 years old (by international reckoning) on September 12, and shortly after midnight KST, ARMY began trending numerous hashtags related to the idol in honor of his special day. In less than an hour, seven of the top 10 worldwide trends on Twitter—and 15 of the top 20—were dedicated to RM.

As of 12:50 a.m. KST, #HappyBirthdayNamjoon was still the highest-trending topic on Twitter, followed by #OurJooniverse at No. 2, #MoonchildDay at No. 3, #HappyBirthdayRM at No. 5, Joonie at No. 6, Kim Namjoon at No. 7, and #RMGalaxyDay at No. 10.

The hashtags #NamjoonBirthday, #HappyRMday, #HappyNamjoonDay, #HappyNamuDay, and #WeLiveSoWeLoveRM, as well as the Korean hashtags “Whether it’s RM or Kim Namjoon, we’ll trust you and follow you,” “Namjoon is ARMY’s love, person, and pride,” and “Namjoon is ARMY’s love and pride” were all also trending within the top 20 on the social media platform.

Not long after midnight, J-Hope also took to Twitter to share a cute message for the birthday boy. J-Hope wrote, “Happy Birthday to our Namjoon, who always has his own spot in my phone. After adding several different hashtags related to RM’s birthday, he added, “There are so many tags, Namjoon. Hehe, this is the power of ARMY,” before signing off, “Namjoon’s friend Hobie.”

Suga similarly shared his own birthday wishes for RM on Twitter, writing, “Happy Birthday to our leader!!” He added in the hashtags, “Namjoon, this is Yoongi hyung,” “Namjoon, happy birthday,” and “Happy happy birthday to our leader Namjoon.”
