Ahn Jae Hyun Turns Down Appearance On "New Journey To The West 7"

Ahn Jae Hyun will not be appearing on tvN’s “New Journey to the West 7.”

On September 16, a source from the show stated to MyDaily, “After long discussions with Ahn Jae Hyun, we have decided to respect Ahn Jae Hyun’s opinion, and he will not be appearing [on the show].”

Another source told Newsen, “To my knowledge, he recently told the producers that he didn’t want to ’cause trouble’ for the program and his fellow ‘New Journey to the West’ cast members with his personal matters. At the same time, he also seemed uncomfortable about the fact that he would have to bring laughter to the public through the variety show.”

Ahn Jae Hyun first appeared on the second season of the series in April 2016 and continued to star on every season of the program until the sixth season last year.

Meanwhile, Ahn Jae Hyun’s lawyer recently announced that the actor will be filing a divorce lawsuit against his wife Ku Hye Sun.
