Watch: "Secret Boutique" Opens Its Doors To Desire In Highlight Clip + Describes Drama's Key Points

SBS is launching an exciting new drama soon!

A new highlight clip and making video was recently released for the upcoming drama “Secret Boutique.” This thriller drama stars Kim Sun Ah, Jang Mi Hee, Park Hee Bon, Go Min Si, Kim Jae Young, and Kim Tae Hoon and tells the story of Jenny Jang, a poor woman who goes from working at a bathhouse to becoming a powerful lobbyist.

The dramatic highlight clip begins with Jang Mi Hee’s voiceover, cunningly asking where the deer she brought went to as it was replaced by a fox with 100 tails. Kim Sun Ah continues, saying, “There are two types of people living in this world. The first are people who live looking towards the future. The others are those who live stuck in the past.”

The behind-the-scenes segment of the video begins with their first script reading from March 14. The actors all take turns introducing themselves before participating in their lively reading. The extravagant set is previewed, showing off the impressive settings of J Boutique and chaebol group Deo. The cast is seen hard at work during filming with their luxurious costumes, giving a little insight into each of their characters.

The cast then shares their thoughts on the drama, with Kim Sun Ah commenting, “It is very fast-paced and is a genre I have not encountered recently.” Park Hee Bon excitedly shares, “Our ‘Secret Boutique’ has a huge secret, everybody!” Kim Jae Young states, “We are filming with good actors and good staff members.” Kim Sun Ah concludes, “I would be very thankful if everyone looks forward to the upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Secret Boutique.'”

Ahead of the premiere, the drama also shared four important keywords to look forward to in the drama.

1. ‘Ladies Noir’

“Secret Boutique” presents a never-before-seen genre of “Ladies Noir” that focuses on the brutal honesty and truths of women and the men who surround and protect them. With the charismatic female forces of Kim Sun Ah, Jang Mi Hee, Park Hee Bon, and Go Min Si combined with the soft yet powerful men Kim Jae Young and Kim Tae Hoon, “Secret Boutique” presents a refreshing experience with every episode. It is directed by Park Hyung Ki, who is behind popular works such as “My Lovely Girl,” “Scent of a Woman,” and “Dr. Champ” and is written by Heo Sun Hee, who worked on “Life Tracker Lee Jae Goo.”

2. High-Class Fashion

This thriller is set among Korea’s chaebols, featuring those within boutique law firm J Boutique and chaebols Deo Group. As the CEO of J Boutique, Jenny Jang is a VIP wherever she goes, and she will be sure to showcase that in both her outfits and also in her lifestyle. This luxurious drama will also boast aesthetically pleasing top-notch interior designs and lavish props that will have capture the attention of viewers.

3. Realistic Fiction

Although not necessarily based on a true story, the speedy roller coaster ride that “Secret Boutique” will put you on may be so intense you can’t even tell! While the fierce competition put up by both the Deo Group and J Boutique as well as their intense back stories are fictional, each episode will present heart-stopping twists with realistic details. Throughout all 60 minutes, “Secret Boutique” will have viewers on the edge of their seats.

4. Veteran Acting

“Secret Boutique” boasts an impressive cast of veteran actors and is a must-watch for hardcore drama fans. More than anything, the fiery back-and-forth banter between Kim Sun Ah and Jang Mi Hee will prove to be a highlight of the show as their voices and gazes alone will convey all the charisma and information necessary.
