DSP Media Shares Update On Legal Action Against Malicious Comments
DSP Media has shared an update on the action the agency is taking against malicious comments and defamation about its artists.
The agency houses artists including APRIL, KARD, Heo Young Ji, Oh Jong Hyuk, Lee Hyun Joo, and X1’s Son Dong Pyo.
DSP Media’s statement released on September 18 is as follows:
Hello, this is DSP Media. We express our gratitude to all the fans who always support DSP Media’s artists.
The company thinks of some of netizens’ malicious comments about our artists as another way of expressing interest and affection, and so we have been enduring them.
However recently we have recognized the severity of the situation as we came across crude insults about our company’s artists and groundless cases of defamation of a member. These occur online and in particular on social media where people can post under the cover of anonymity. After this, we have been collecting data for a few months. Meanwhile, we appointed a legal representative and we are preparing a legal response.
We are saying this again, but we will be taking strong legal action against malicious defamation and posts with groundless false information about our artists, as well as the act of spreading these things, starting from September 18, 2019 at 5 p.m. when this notice is being released. We inform you that we will not be lenient or come to any agreements in regards to such illegal actions.
We are grateful to everyone who loves the artists at DSP Media and we will keep doing our best to protect the rights of the artists you love through continued monitoring and action. Thank you.
