"When The Camellia Blooms" + "Secret Boutique" Both Premiere To Higher Ratings Than Their Predecessors
Three new dramas joined the Wednesday-Thursday ratings fray last night!
KBS 2TV’s “When the Camellia Blooms” premiered at the top of its time slot on September 18. The new romantic comedy starring Kang Ha Neul and Gong Hyo Jin scored average viewership ratings of 6.3 percent and 7.4 percent for its two parts, making it the most-watched drama of the night.
Not only did the “When the Camellia Blooms” premiere beat the finale ratings for “Justice,” the drama that previously occupied its time slot, but it also beat the highest viewership achieved by “Justice” over the course of its run (7.0 percent).
SBS’s new thriller “Secret Boutique” also got off to a strong start. The September 18 premiere of the drama, which stars Kim Sun Ah and Kim Jae Young, scored average nationwide ratings of 3.8 percent and 4.6 percent—beating the finale ratings of its predecessor “Doctor Detective” (which ended on an average rating of 3.9 percent).
Finally, OCN’s “The Running Mates: Human Rights” premiered to an average rating of 1.2 percent nationwide, while MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” scored average ratings of 4.0 percent and 6.0 percent for the night.
