"Produce X 101" Contestant Yuri Receives Korean Citizenship
“Produce X 101” contestant and model Yuri has now become a Korean citizen.
On September 19, Yuri posted a photo of himself with a citizenship certificate. He wrote in Korean, “From today on I’m a Korean” and added in English, “I finally got Korean citizenship.”
Born in Uzbekistan, Yuri later moved to Russia and was an athlete on the youth national team for swimming. Before moving to Korea, he carried out military service in Russia. Currently under the agency ESteem Entertainment, Yuri has been working as a model in Korea since 2016 and appeared in the music video for Luna’s “Free Somebody.”
