"Melting Me Softly" + "Beautiful Love Wonderful Life" Join Fierce Battle For Weekend Drama Ratings
tvN’s “Melting Me Softly” and KBS 2TV’s “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” both premiered amidst stiff competition last night!
“Beautiful Love Wonderful Life,” the new romance drama replacing KBS’s smash hit “Mother of Mine,” got off to a strong start. According to Nielsen Korea, the September 28 premiere of “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” scored average nationwide ratings of 17.1 percent and 19.6 percent for its two parts, making it the most-watched drama of the evening.
Meanwhile, tvN’s new romantic comedy “Melting Me Softly,” which marked Ji Chang Wook‘s long-awaited return to the small screen, premiered to somewhat weaker ratings. The first broadcast of the drama scored an average viewership of 2.5 percent and a peak of 3.2 percent nationwide.
SBS’s “Vagabond” remained steady with average ratings of 6.8 percent, 8.1 percent, and 10.2 percent for its three parts; while MBC’s “Golden Garden” scored average ratings of 5.7 percent, 9.2 percent, 8.8 percent, and 9.3 percent for the night.
