Dispatch Analyzes Photo Uploaded By Ku Hye Sun + Ahn Jae Hyun's Lawyer Gives Official Response

Shortly after Ku Hye Sun shared a photo on Instagram, Dispatch released a report analyzing the contents of the photo.

The photo in question was posted on October 11 and shows someone wearing a bathrobe. In the caption to the photo, Ku Hye Sun wrote that this was her original jacket image for the song “Must I Die” and that she had submitted four photos to the court.

The photo has now been deleted from Ku Hye Sun’s Instagram. Because of the caption, however, many people speculated that this was the photo that Ku Hye Sun had previously claimed was proof of her husband Ahn Jae Hyun’s affair. At the time, Ahn Jae Hyun’s lawyer had responded to her claim by saying that the photo was from a relationship Ahn Jae Hyun had before his marriage to Ku Hye Sun.

Dispatch’s new report, also released on October 11, analyzes the contents of the bathrobe photo in an effort to fact-check the claims of both parties. Because the bathrobe in the photo is embroidered with the logo “W,” Dispatch reports contacted staff members at the Walkerhill Hotel.

A source from the Vista Walkerhill Hotel said, “Our hotel has never used a white bathrobe. All the bathrobes at the Vista are deep grey.”

The Vista Walkerhill Hotel re-opened in April 2017. Prior to this, the hotel was known as the “W Hotel.” The source said, “During the time we operated as W Hotel, the bathrobes were dark red.”

As a result of this conversation, Dispatch reporters concluded that the photo must be from a hotel that was not in South Korea. In searching for the logo on the bathrobe, reporters found a similar design on the robes for the hotel W Singapore – Sentosa Cove.

The Dispatch reporters then contacted Ahn Jae Hyun’s legal representative, lawyer Bang Jung Hyun. He responded, “After looking through Ahn Jae Hyun’s travel records, we can confirm that he went to Singapore on December 30, 2012.”

The identity of the person wearing the bathrobe is not clear from Ku Hye Sun’s photo. If it is Ahn Jae Hyun, the Dispatch report concluded, he was likely staying at the hotel W Singapore in December 2012. This would have been two years before he met Ku Hye Sun (the two met on the set of their drama “Blood,” which aired in 2015).

Ku Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun are currently in the middle of a divorce lawsuit.
