Heo Ji Woong Reveals How Kim Woo Bin Helped Him While He Was Going Through Chemotherapy

Writer and television personality Heo Ji Woong talked about actor Kim Woo Bin helping him during his cancer treatment.

Heo Ji Woong, who made his first broadcast appearance on the October 18 broadcast of MBC’s “I Live Alone” after battling lymphoma, said, “Anticancer drugs are poison. When it enters your body, you experience all kinds of side effects. What gets you through all of that is hearing cases of other people that got better after doing everything they were told by their doctors. Nothing gives you more hope.”

He explained that Kim Woo Bin messaged him while he was undergoing treatment. “[Kim Woo Bin told me] that hearing what others experienced and how they got better was a big source of comfort for him, and that’s why he contacted me, so he could share his experiences with me.”

Heo Ji Woong added, “Just the fact that people have made full recoveries is a huge help to people undergoing treatment. So I want to be of help, too.”
