Watch: Takeuchi Miyu Of "Produce 48" Showcases Beautiful Voice For Yoon Jong Shin's Monthly Project

Former AKB48 member and “Produce 48” contestant Takeuchi Miyu has released her first song after signing with Mystic Story!

The track “My Type” (literal translation) is one of singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin’s monthly singles. While originally planned for a July release, it was delayed due to poor Japan-Korea relations.

In a letter shared along with the MV, Yoon Jong Shin explained that he’d written the song two years ago but decided to hold on to it for the time being. He knew that he wanted a female singer to take it on, but no one who was available to sing it right away seemed like a good fit. Earlier this year, the staff at Mystic suggested trainee Takeuchi Miyu for the song.

“The staff members recommended Miyu because of her maturity, training experience, image, and more,” he said. “When we recorded the song, I understood why everyone praises her. She worked really hard on practicing Korean, and most importantly, she sang the song well.”
