JYP Entertainment Sues Malicious Commenters Of TWICE + To Take Legal Action For All Artists

JYP Entertainment has taken further action on malicious comments written about TWICE.

On October 23, the agency shared, “The judgment was made that malicious comments and posts with defamation, sexual harassment, and personal attacks directed towards TWICE have reached an extremely severe level, and criminal complaints were submitted on [November] 2 to the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul.”

The statement continues, “The criminal complaints of eight malicious commenters have been processed and are currently being investigated. Additional criminal complaints will be filed for similar cases.”

JYP Entertainment added, “As an agency, we have considered that our artists’ personal rights and level of mental exhaustion can be severely affected, and we will firmly take all possible legal action for cases like these.”

The agency went on to state that strong legal action will be taken on behalf of all JYP Entertainment artists for malicious posts. “We will take firm action for such actions without settlement or leniency,” the statement concludes.
