Former After School Member Jung Ah Announces Birth Of 1st Child + Shares Adorable Photos Of Newborn Son

Jung Ah and her husband have welcomed their first child!

On October 24, the former After School member and actress officially confirmed that she and her husband, basketball player Jung Chang Young, were now the parents of a healthy baby boy.

Jung Ah revealed that she had given birth to her first child on October 12, adding, “It was a natural childbirth. It was extremely difficult, but I was truly overwhelmed [with joy] the moment I saw our child.”

She added, “To be honest, I still can’t believe that our child was born, and because he is such a small thing, everything still feels like a blur.”

Jung Ah also took to Instagram that same morning to share some adorable photos of her newborn son and his father, writing, “After giving birth to a child, I spent some time looking back at my past self. In the future, I will live life while feeling even more grateful.”

Addressing her son by his prenatal nickname, she continued, “Ggulbok, I’m sorry, and I’m grateful, and I love you.” She then moved on to her husband, writing, “Jjung Chang, you must be tired because it’s the middle of [basketball] season, but thank you for staying by my side without showing a hint of exhaustion.”

Finally, she revealed the name of their son, writing, “Aunts and uncles, our Ggulbok‘s name is Jung Joo Hoon. Please send our Joo Hoonie lots of blessings.”

After tying the knot in April 2018, Jung Ah and Jung Chang Young announced the news of their first pregnancy a year later, in April 2019.
