Celebrations Announced For 2nd Anniversary Of BTS And UNICEF's "Love Myself" Campaign
To celebrate the second anniversary of the “Love Myself” campaign, UNICEF Korea will be holding a “Love Myself 2nd Anniversary Festa” during BTS’s upcoming concerts.
BTS is holding the finale of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour from October 26 to 29 at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul.
Back on November 1, 2017, it was announced that BTS and Big Hit Entertainment had partnered with UNICEF for a campaign to end violence against youth. With the second anniversary of the launching of the “Love Myself” campaign coming up next week, UNICEF Korea is marking the anniversary as well as expressing their gratitude to fans all over the world who have taken part.
From October 26 to 29, UNICEF Korea will be running UNICEF “Love Myself” campaign booths at Olympic Stadium and the Lotte World Tower World Park grass square. The booths will showcase various activities that have taken place to end violence towards children around the world through the “Love Myself” campaign. People who upload photos from the site with the hashtags #유니세프 (“UNICEF”), #LOVEMYSELF, and #FESTA2 will receive free UNICEF bracelets that say “LOVE MYSELF” and “#ENDviolence.”
Large sculptures that signify everyone’s promise to end violence against children will also be put up in the areas by UNICEF Korea.
In addition, the Lotte World Tower will be lit up at night from October 26 to 29 in UNICEF’s blue and BTS’s purple. It’s said that it’s meant to celebrate the second anniversary of the campaign as well as be the light of the promise to end violence.
In solidarity with the campaign, the N Seoul Tower will also be lit up in blue and purple during this time.
A video of BTS’s visit to the United Nations, including leader RM’s speech, will also be shown on a screen at the Lotte World Mall.
