T-ara's Jiyeon Talks About Recent Slump + Shares Plans To Make Comeback As Singer

T-ara’s Jiyeon has revealed her plans for the future!

During a recent interview with news outlet MK Sports, Jiyeon said, “I rested for a while after my last activity with T-ara. During those two years, I did not work as a singer nor an actress. The time I spent resting felt dark and scary to me. For 10 years, I had been taken care of inside a fence that is T-ara. It was scary to think that I was alone. I didn’t feel confident in doing anything.”

She shared that she was able to overcome the slump thanks to her family and fans. Jiyeon continued, “My self-esteem had hit bottom, and I kept wondering what I could do by myself. However, my family and fans helped me endure and have strength. It is my current CEO and the drama ‘I Wanna Hear Your Song‘ that helped me get back out. I think the drama will last in my memory for a long time regardless of its performance.”

Jiyeon also shared that she plans to make a comeback as a singer at the end of November. The idol-turned-actress said, “I want to make a comeback as a singer because I know that’s what my fans are waiting for. I’m currently discussing it with my Chinese agency. I think Bae Yoon Jung will once again be in charge of the choreography. I have songs ready, but I haven’t decided on my title track yet. We are currently voting on it, but the two tracks are very different. One track fits me well and is similar to ‘Never Ever.’ The other track is one I can’t imagine myself singing. I want to show a different side of myself, but I’m hesitant because I have another song that fits me well.” She continued to say that she’s planning on bleaching her hair because her fans are hoping to see her with an idol-like hair color.

Jiyeon concluded the interview saying, “I was happy to be a part of T-ara. I want to tell my fans that I exist because of them.”
