Jang Nara And Lee Sang Yoon's New No. 1 Drama "VIP" Enjoys Rise In Ratings For 2nd Episode
SBS’s new drama “VIP” is on the rise!
“VIP” is a new melodrama about the hidden secrets of a team that handles VIP clients at a department store. Jang Nara stars as the smooth-talking, highly competent Na Jung Sun, whose world is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious text message about her husband and team leader Park Sung Joon (played by Lee Sang Yoon) that throws her seemingly perfect marriage into peril.
Just two episodes into its run, “VIP” is already the most-watched drama of Monday and Tuesday nights. After premiering to strong ratings the night before, “VIP” remained the drama with the highest viewership ratings of the evening on October 29. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama scored average nationwide ratings of 6.5 percent and 7.6 percent for its two parts, marking a significant increase in viewership from the previous night (when it scored ratings of 5.9 percent and 6.8 percent).
“VIP” performed even better in the Seoul metropolitan area, where it scored average ratings of 6.9 percent and 8.2 percent, with viewership peaking at 9.4 percent for the night. Among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, the October 29 episode of “VIP” scored average ratings of 2.2 percent and 2.7 percent.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s “The Tale of Nokdu” followed close behind with average nationwide ratings of 6.0 percent and 7.4 percent for the night. The drama scored average ratings of 5.7 percent and 7.4 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.
Both tvN’s new drama “Catch the Ghost” and JTBC’s “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” also enjoyed increases in their viewership ratings, scoring average nationwide ratings of 3.7 percent and 3.2 percent respectively.
