It’s official: Rainbow is back!

Last week, Korean media outlet SpoTV News reported that the girl group, who formally went their separate ways in 2016, would be getting back together for a special celebration of their 10th anniversary.

Even after their official disbandment in 2016, the Rainbow members have famously maintained their tight-knit bond and remained close friends, and they reportedly decided to celebrate their upcoming milestone in a meaningful way. According to the report, Rainbow will be releasing a new song on November 14 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut, and the group is said to have already completed filming the music video.

On October 31, Rainbow appeared to personally confirm the reports on social media, with all seven members posting the same group photo and message on their individual accounts. Each of the members wrote in the hashtags, “I am still RAINBOW,” before playfully hinting at a potential reunion with the caption: “We’re serious. We’re super-serious. Rainbow is back. Coming soon!”

The group photo also features the captions “Rainbow is back” and “Coming soon,” along with a spirited call to arms: “Awaken, Rain-nous [Rainbow’s official fandom]!”
