Lee Yoo Bi Announces Decision To Take Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

Lee Yoo Bi has decided to take strong legal action against malicious commenters.

The actress shared a screenshot of an article regarding the decision on her personal Instagram account. According to the article, Lee Yoo Bi will be taking legal action through her agency against increasingly malicious comments and false information.

She is said to have made the decision to pursue legal action due to netizens posting malicious attacks on articles about her with regards to an incident involving her father, who was eventually found to be not guilty. Her father was indicted in 2016 on charges related to the capital market and stock manipulation but was found not guilty in the second ruling. The courts deemed that the information he provided in the process of gathering recapitalization funds was not demonstrably false, and that he had in fact made an effort to keep alive a company that was falling apart.

Despite this ruling, Lee Yoo Bi continues to receive attacks based on the fact that her father was indicted. She has also received attacks for being the daughter of a celebrity, actress Kyun Mi Ri.

Her agency stated, “It’s true that Lee Yoo Bi has decided to take legal action on malicious commenters. There will be no leniency. We are currently in the process of collecting evidence.”
