Mnet Reveals Arrest Warrants Have Been Requested For Some 'Produce X 101' Staff

Mnet has released a statement regarding the current state of investigations into “Produce X 101,” which is under scrutiny for alleged vote manipulation.

Mnet apologized for the controversy and revealed that police have requested arrest warrants for several members of the production staff of “Produce X 101.”

Here is the full statement from Mnet:

We would like to express our deepest apologies for causing controversy with Mnet’s “Produce X 101.”

At the end of July, we [Mnet] determined that there were limits to our own investigation into the matter, and we requested a police investigation. We’ve confirmed that police have requested arrest warrants for some of the people involved in the production of “Produce X 101,” and we are closely watching the situation.

Mnet will continue to actively cooperate with investigations, and if there is anything that Mnet needs to take responsibility for after investigations are over, we will do so.

Once more, we would like to sincerely apologize to all the fans and viewers who supported “Produce X 101,” the contestants of “Produce X 101,” as well as the agencies and all affiliated personnel.

However, we would like to ask that everyone refrain from speculative reports about artists that were affected through this incident.

Police are also investigating all previous “Produce” seasons and Mnet’s “Idol School” for similar infractions, as well as whether or not “Produce” PDs participated in vote manipulation for monetary compensation.
