David Lee, Lee Joo Young, And Kim Hye Eun Confirmed To Join Park Seo Joon In New Drama
More actors have confirmed for the upcoming JTBC drama “Itaewon Class” (literal title), starring Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, Yoo Jae Myung, and Kwon Nara.
“Itaewon Class” is based on a popular Daum webtoon of the same name about a group of stubborn, brave young people who rise up in an unfair world and start a food business in Itaewon. David Lee, Lee Joo Young, and Kim Hye Eun have now been added to the cast lineup.
David Lee will star as Lee Ho Jin, who works with Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon) in the new business. Lee Ho Jin and Park Sae Roy are friends who come up with plans for success together. David Lee showed great presence in his latest drama “Hotel Del Luna,” so viewers are eager to see his next role.
Lee Joo Young will play the cool Ma Hyun, who works as a chef at Park Sae Roy’s pocha (outdoor Korean food business). The character of Ma Hyun will give comfort and a sense of relatability to viewers as she learns to take courage and step out into the world. Lee Joo Young recently received a lot of love for her lead role in “Maggie,” released in September of this year.
Kim Hye Eun will take the role of Kang Min Jung, the executive director of Jangga Group. She is a tough woman who worked her way up from the bottom of the ladder by learning from Park Sae Roy’s father and will become Park Sae Roy’s most reliable helper. Kim Hye Eun’s last drama was “Doctor John,” where she portrayed a sharp, talented doctor.
“Itaewon Class” will air in the first half of next year.
