Girls' Generation's Sooyoung, Yoo Yeon Seok, Yoo In Na, And More To Star In New Rom-Com Film
The upcoming film “New Year’s Eve” (literal translation) has unveiled part of its star-studded cast!
On November 7, Acemaker Movieworks officially announced, “Many charming actors have been confirmed for the cast of ‘New Year’s Eve,’ including Kim Kang Woo, Yoo In Na, Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Dong Hwi, Chen Du Ling, Um Hye Ran, Choi Sooyoung, and Yoo Tae Oh.”
“New Year’s Eve” will tell the story of four couples who must each overcome different fears and problems as they face the beginning of a new year. The romantic comedy will be helmed by Hong Ji Young, the director behind the films “Will You Be There?” and “Marriage Blue.”
Kim Kang Woo will be starring as Ji Ho, a brusque detective with a hidden caring side, while Yoo In Na will star as Ho Young, a seemingly aloof but soft-hearted athletic trainer. Yoo Yeon Seok and Lee Yeon Hee will star as Jae Hyun and Jin Ah, a couple that crosses paths in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung will star as Oh Wol, a gardener who is a loving and supportive girlfriend to snowboarder Rae Hwan (played by Yoo Tae Oh). Finally, Lee Dong Hwi will play Yong Chan, the head of a travel agency who is engaged to Yao Rin (played by Chen Du Ling), but who faces problem after problem ahead of their marriage.
“New Year’s Eve” is currently scheduled to begin filming in November.
