Kang Ha Neul Explains Why He Enjoyed Time In Military
Kang Ha Neul graces the cover of the December issue of Arena Homme+, and he talked to the magazine about his most recent work as well as his time in the military!
The actor is currently playing the role of rural police officer Hwang Yong Sik in “When the Camellia Blooms,” and he stars opposite Gong Hyo Jin.
“I’ll remember it as a project that allowed me to have a great time with many colleagues, rather than as one that got very high viewership ratings,” said Kang Ha Neul.
This interview with Arena Homme+ was the actor’s first official talk with the media since his discharge from the military in May, and he said there was something he definitely wanted to say.
“People say to me, ‘You must have missed acting so much in the military for you to work so hard in ‘When the Camellia Blooms,'” he shared. “But I really enjoyed my time in the military. It was to the point that I honestly didn’t even have any thoughts about wanting to act.”
He added, “It was tough in the military, but I really enjoyed the time I had to think on my own and read books.”
It’s described that during his photo shoot for Arena Homme+, Kang Ha Neul earned cheers from the female staff on set as he pulled off the strong clothing and jewelry. Despite the fact that they were shooting through the night due to his busy schedule filming the drama, he never looked tired and was always smiling bright.
After wrapping up “When the Camellia Blooms,” Kang Ha Neul will be returning to the stage in January in the play ‘Fable of Fantasy.’
