Former The East Light Member Lee Eun Sung To Enlist In Military This Month
Former The East Light member Lee Eun Sung is enlisting in the military on November 25.
November 19, Lee Eun Sung posted a handwritten letter on his Instagram:
Hello, this is Lee Eun Sung. I’m writing this letter because there’s something important I need to tell you.
I will be enlisting on November 25, 2019! It’s a decision I made on my own, and I’m prepared to go, but what makes me pause is that I won’t be able to see you as much as I can now.
It might seem weird that I’m suddenly enlisting in the military, but I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. I feel like I have to finish my service now so that we can be together for a long time. My decision might be a little hard for you, but I’d be so thankful if you waited for me to return.
I’ll make sure to give back to you in exchange for your patience! I’ll be back! I love you.
November 2019
From Eun Sung
Previously, in October 2018, former The East Light members Lee Seok Cheol and Lee Seung Hyun sued CEO Kim Chang Hwan and producer Moon Young Il of Media Line Entertainment for abuse.
In June this year, Lee Eun Sung testified in trial, contradicting the claims of Lee Seok Cheol and Lee Seung Hyun. Later in July, in the first sentencing hearing, Moon Young Il was sentenced to two years in prison for child abuse, while Kim Chang Hwan was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for two years of probation for aiding and abetting child abuse. Media Line Entertainment was also ordered to pay a fine of 20 million won (approximately $17,100). Both parties appealed the sentence, and the next trial is set for November 27.
Meanwhile, on November 19, Lee Seok Cheol and Lee Seung Hyun filed an additional lawsuit against Kim Chang Hwan for subornation of perjury.
