Jang Nara In Talks To Lead New Rom-Com

Jang Nara might star in a romantic comedy soon!

On December 2, Ilgan Sports cited a source from the drama industry and reported that Jang Nara was confirmed for the lead role in tvN’s “Oh My Baby“, which is set to air next summer.

A source from her agency Rawon Culture clarified to YTN Star, “She is reviewing [the offer], and nothing has been confirmed.”

“Oh My Baby” will be a romantic comedy about a 39-year-old single woman who wants to have a child without getting married. She has three men in her radar and has trouble choosing between them. They walk into her life when she’s already hopeless about love and marriage.

Ilgan Sports reports that Jang Nara’s role is that of Jang Ha Ri, who is the senior editor of “The Baby,” a magazine about parenting. She has worked for 15 consecutive years, but she is still only the second-in-command in the editorial department. Despite searching and searching for a man who could be her husband, it’s already been 10 years since she’s dated someone. Her daily life involves pulling all-nighters with her colleagues at the company with an unwashed face, and she finds pride and comfort in her position as a reliable member of the society.

According to Ilgan Sports, “Oh My Baby” will be written by Noh Sun Jae of JTBC’s “Mirror of the Witch” and directed by producing director Nam Ki Hoon of TV Chosun’s “Leverage.” The producers are reportedly in the process of casting the three male leads, and the drama is set to air next May or June via tvN.

Jang Nara currently stars in SBS’s “VIP,” which has already been fully pre-produced.
