Sung Hoon And Kang Ji Young In Talks To Star As Leads Of Upcoming Romantic Comedy
Sung Hoon and Kang Ji Young may be starring in a romantic comedy together!
On December 5, it was reported that Sung Hoon and Kang Ji Young are in talks to star in the new drama “Late Night Snack Man and Woman” (literal title). A source from KeyEast Entertainment revealed, “[Kang Ji Young] is currently reviewing the offer to star in the drama ‘Late Night Snack Man and Woman,’ which will be broadcast next year.” A source from Sung Hoon’s agency also commented, “[He] has received the offer and is currently reviewing it.”
“Late Night Snack Man and Woman” will tell the story of a man who begins to lie in order to get his hands on money while pushing the woman he loves into a corner and hurting a man that has come to love him because of the same lie. The drama will be written by scriptwriter Park Seung Hye who wrote “A Man Called God” and directed by PD (producing director) Song Ji Won from “The King 2 Hearts.”
Kang Ji Young is in talks to play the role of Kim Ah Jin, the female lead, while Sung Hoon has been offered the role of Park Jin Sung, the male lead.
Kang Ji Young first made her debut as a member of KARA in 2008, and starting 2014, she also developed a career in the acting industry, mainly focusing on her activities in Japan. Recently, KeyEast Entertainment confirmed that the agency signed an exclusive contract with the actress. If Kang Ji Young takes on this project, this will be her first time starring in a drama in South Korea. Meanwhile, Sung Hoon recently starred in the MBN drama “Level Up.”
