What To Watch If You Were Impressed By The Actors Of Award-Winning Film 'Parasite'

“Parasite” made great waves earlier this year as the first ever Korean film to win the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. The film has since won big at various other awards ceremonies including the Blue Dragon Awards and the Sydney Film Festival, and it is the highest grossing foreign-language film in the United States this year. It was recently also announced that “Parasite” racked up three Golden Globe nominations.

An important contributor to the drama’s success is undoubtedly the talented cast, which includes skilled actors such as Lee Sun Gyun, Jo Yeo Jeong, Choi Woo Shik, Park So Dam, and Song Kang Ho.

If you loved their acting in “Parasite,” here are some other dramas and films to check out:

Lee Sun Gyun in “War of Prosecutors

In the upcoming drama, Lee Sun Gyun plays Lee Sun Woong, a prosecutor with a chill, laid-back attitude towards life and work. His mundane life is overthrown one day when Cha Myung Joo (Jung Ryeo Won), an elite fellow prosecutor from the city, gets transferred to his branch.

The two are polar opposites when it comes to their methodologies. Cha Myung Joo is cold and meticulous, while Lee Sun Woong is down-to-earth and always keen to discover the human stories behind the crimes he investigates. Conflict is inevitable when the two are forced to work together.

“War of Prosecutors” is set to premiere on December 16 at 9:30 p.m. KST.

Bonus: Park Seo Joon in “Fight My Way

Although Park Seo Joon made a short (but impactful) cameo appearance in “Parasite,” there are many dramas to check out if you want to see more of his acting.

One of his most popular roles was as Go Dong Man in “Fight My Way,” the 2017 romantic comedy he starred in with Kim Ji Won.

Go Dong Man is a character who originally dreams of becoming famous as a taekwondo athlete, while his best friend Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) aspires to become a television anchor. The drama follows their stories as they struggle with balancing reality and their dreams while also walking the fine line between friendship and romance. Choi Woo Shik also makes a special appearance in the drama!
