Watch: Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, And More Share Their Excitement For New Medical Drama
The actors behind tvN’s newest drama “Hospital Playlist” have shared their thoughts about the first script reading!
The new drama is headed by director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, who worked together on such dramas as the “Reply” series and “Prison Playbook.” At the first script reading, Jo Jung Suk, Kim Dae Myung, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Jeon Mi Do showed perfect chemistry as long-time friends who met when they were at medical school.
When asked about his first impression when he saw the script, Jo Jung Suk said, “Director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung always make such interesting dramas, so I was curious and excited to see what they’d come up with. As expected, the script is very interesting. I think it’ll be a good one.”
He also picked Jeon Mi Do as the actress he’s most looking forward to working with. “I’ve seen her perform before and she’s quite good at what she does.”
Jeon Mi Do, a musical actress who is taking on the challenge of filming a drama for the first time, said, “I feel like I’m the newcomer. This is so fun and interesting, so I’m excited to see the script for the second episode.” She also expressed her hope that viewers enjoy the drama.
Yoo Yeon Seok shared his excitement for the role, as well. “I was so excited to see how interesting the script would be.” When asked about his top reason for wanting to play a role as a doctor, he said “Because there are scenes where I’ll be performing surgery, I’ll have to wear a mask that covers almost my whole face. I won’t need to wear any makeup or have my hair done for those scenes.”
Jung Kyung Ho said that the actor he most looked forward to working with was Yoo Yeon Seok. “The representative of good looks, of course.” He said it with such confidence that he was asked what his relationship with the actor was, to which he replied, “I only met him today.”
