Suzy Presents Badge To President Moon Jae In As Representative Of Charity

Suzy took part in a special event at the Blue House, where she met South Korean President Moon Jae In and first lady Kim Jung Sook!

On December 20, the government-sanctioned nonprofit organization Community Chest of Korea held an event at the Blue House in the hope that it would encourage people to make donations. The president of the organization stated that donations haven’t been high this year, stressing that this makes the lives of the disadvantaged even more difficult.

Suzy attended the event along with actor Jung Bo Suk, as the two stars are members of the Honor Society of the Community Chest of Korea after donating over 100 million won (approximately $86,210). Suzy became a member of the society in 2015.

Suzy and Jung Bo Suk presented the President and the First Lady with badges from the Community Chest of Korea.

President Moon Jae In stated to Suzy, “I’ve heard that you donated for Sewol and for the Gangwon Wildfires too. It must not be easy to open your heart like that, but I’m very grateful.”

He then said to Jung Bo Suk, “I think your heart is also a jewel. It’s particularly moving that both you and your wife are members of the Honor Society.”
