Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, And Lee Sung Kyung On The Premiere Of "Romantic Doctor Kim 2" And Their Characters

In a recent preview broadcast for season two of SBS’s “Romantic Doctor Kim 2,” Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Lee Sung Kyung, talked about the upcoming premiere of the drama.

Ahn Hyo Seop revealed that he was a big fan of the first season. He said, “When we had our first script reading, it felt like I was watching the drama.”

Lee Sung Kyung said, “I hope those who remember Dol Dam [Hospital] will welcome us, and I hope that those who are entering Dol Dam for the first time will adapt with us.”

Han Suk Kyu, who plays the titular Doctor Kim, said, “The main reason we are able to do season two is the viewers. With that in mind, we will do our best to the end.”

Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung also talked about their characters, who are new additions to the drama. Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays Seo Woo Jin, said, “[Seo Woo Jin] is a surgeon in the second year of his fellowship. He has incredible focus and talent, and is even called a genius of surgery. However, because of the hard life he’s had, he’s cynical and doesn’t believe in happiness.”

Lee Sung Kyung said, “[Cha Eun Jae] looks like she has a lot of drive and confidence, but in reality, she is lacking in a lot of ways in life and in relationships. In a way, I think her character is representative of young adults. You’ll be able to see her growth as she becomes a doctor and meets Master Kim, Woo Jin, and the team at Dol Dam Hospital.”

“Romantic Doctor Kim 2” premieres January 6.
