INFINITE's L, Shin Ye Eun, And More Attend Script Reading For Upcoming Fantasy Rom-Com Drama

KBS has revealed photos from the first script reading of the upcoming drama “Welcome” (literal title) starring INFINITE’s L and Shin Ye Eun!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Welcome” is a fantasy romantic comedy about a cat who transforms into a man. It is written Joo Hwa Mi, who wrote tvN’s “Marriage, Not Dating” and “Introverted Boss,” and it will be directed by Ji Byung Hyun, whose previous works include KBS’s “Big” and “House of Bluebird.”

Director Ji Byung Hyun said, “After experiencing love, I believe that even if it becomes pain, you must do everything you can to love in the moment. When I saw the script for this drama, I liked that this was in the story. The story also is about love and comfort in pets, so I wanted to do this drama no matter what.”

L said, “I’ll do my best so that we can make a drama that will warm hearts,” and he proceeded to read for the role of the cat Hong Jo, who remembers becoming a young boy once when he was young and must start living a precarious double life when he once again turns into a man.

Shin Ye Eun, who plays the role of the puppy-like human Kim Sol Ah, said, “I will make the set bright with the bright energy of Sol Ah.”

A source from the production said, “‘Welcome’ will be played out by fresh, young actors and will bring excitement to you from beginning to end.”

“Welcome,” also starring Seo Ji Hoon, Kang Hoon, Yoon Ye Joo, Kim Yeo Jin, and more, premieres May 25.
