Watch: (G)I-DLE's Yuqi, Soojin, And Shuhua Cause A Stir In Hilarious Preview For "Ask Us Anything"
(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi, Soojin, and Shuhua are coming to JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything”!
On January 4, the variety show aired a preview of next week’s episode, which will feature the three idols making a special guest appearance on its newest segment. The (G)I-DLE members will be the second set of “students” to stop by Jang Sung Kyu, Super Junior’s Shindong, and Jeong Se Woon’s new “Career Counseling” segment of the show.
The preview begins with the three MCs jokingly complaining about their lack of screen time compared to the regular cast before Yuqi, Soojin, and Shuhua make their entrance and introduce themselves.
Soojin asks what kind of variety show would suit her best, and Jang Sung Kyu responds by asking the idols if there are any particular variety programs on which they hope to appear. Yuqi replies, “To be honest, I appeared on ‘Ask Us Anything’ once in the past. I thought they’d invite me back, but I waited for about a year and a half.” She then suddenly realizes that she’s been using informal speech (banmal) and hurriedly corrects herself as everyone around her starts laughing.
Shindong asks Shuhua if she’s ever watched “Ask Us Anything,” and she replies that she has. However, when he asks, “Is there a cast member you like?” she surprises everyone with her honesty as she answers, “No, there isn’t.” Shindong remarks in amusement, “Usually, people just name whichever member comes to mind or say they like all of them,” and Shuhua cracks everyone up by responding, “I haven’t become a fan yet.”
Yuqi teases Soojin by revealing, “Soojin’s nickname is ‘the hidden foreign member of (G)I-DLE,'” and Soojin shares, “I’d like to appear on ‘I Live Alone.'” However, when asked if she lives alone, she cheerfully responds, “No.”
The (G)I-DLE members then show off their dance skills by covering the choreographies to Chungha‘s “Roller Coaster” and EXO’s “Love Shot.” However, they face stiff competition from Shindong and Jeong Se Woon, who rush to the front to compete against them with their own passionate dancing. Jang Sung Kyu explains, “You have to beat them! This is your training [for variety shows]!”
The next episode of “Ask Us Anything” will air on January 11 at 9 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the preview below!
