"Woman Of 9.9 Billion" Holds On To Top Spot In Viewership Ratings Despite Ups and Downs
KBS’s “Woman of 9.9 Billion” has held on to its spot at the top of its time slot on Wednesday night despite some personal ups and downs.
According to Nielsen Korea, the January 15 episode of the Wednesday-Thursday drama recorded ratings of 8.8 percent in the first half and 10.1 percent in the second half. This is an increase from last Thursday’s ratings of 6.8 and 8.3 percent, but a decrease from last Wednesday‘s ratings from 9.3 and 10.8 percent.
It is speculated that “Woman of 9.9 Billion,” which started off with strong premiere ratings, is seeing fluctuating ratings now because it faces less competition on Wednesdays and increased competition on Thursdays, when it airs alongside TV Chosun’s trot audition show “Mister Trot” and SBS variety show “Delicious Rendezvous.”
Airing in the same time slot on Wednesday night is SBS’s “Because I Want to Talk,” which recorded ratings of 3.3 and 3.9 percent. Airing an hour earlier was MBC’s “Love with Flaws,” which recorded ratings of 2.1 and 2.5 percent.
