Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Tops iTunes Charts Around The World With Repackaged Album "Purpose"
The repackaged version of Taeyeon’s second full album “Purpose” is a success on worldwide iTunes charts!
SM Entertainment revealed that on January 16, the repackaged version of “Purpose” topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 24 countries including Australia, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Lebanon, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Paraguay, Russia, United Arab Emirates, and Israel.
Taeyeon’s second full album “Purpose” took over iTunes charts in 22 regions last October, setting a record for the taking the No. 1 spot on iTunes charts in the most countries for a female soloist. Topping charts in 24 countries this time with the repackaged version, Taeyeon has broken her own record.
The repackaged album also rose to the top of China’s largest music site QQ Music, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music’s album sales chart. The title track “Dear Me” is also ranking high on Korean realtime music charts.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon will be performing her new tracks at her solo concert “The Unseen” on January 17, 18, and 19 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.
