MAMAMOO's Agency Announces Plans For More Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters
On January 16, MAMAMOO’s agency, RBW, released a statement on its official fancafe to inform fans of legal action against malicious commenters.
The statement is in full below:
Hello. This is RBW.
First, we would like to thank fans for sending us data for a long time and for waiting.
We took legal action against those behind malicious posts that contained malicious attacks, sexual harassment, spreading of false information, personal attacks, and defamation regarding our artist MAMAMOO (Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, Hwasa) in September 2018, and those who continuously posted malicious comments were fined around February 2019.
Despite this, we plan to file more complaints because additional damage has been inflicted due to recent spreading of false information and malicious posts regarding our agency’s artist MAMAMOO online, offline, and on mobile platforms.
Following this notice, we would like to inform you that we will be taking strong action using all legal methods without any leniency against those who write or spread comments that defame our agency’s artist.
If there is data fans have gathered while monitoring, please send it to the e-mail address below and we will take legal action after assembling data.
- Please take a screenshot so that the context of the entire malicious post can be seen, and send it to the e-mail address.
- Please send as much information as possible such as the offender’s nickname or ID, IP address, date and time of the post, and platform, and attach it in a PDF file.
We will try our best to compile data through continuous monitoring to protect our artist’s rights and interests, and will actively take legal action.
Once again, we would like to thank fans who love and support MAMAMOO. Thank you.
