"Crash Landing On You" Viewership Soars To New All-Time High; "Chocolate" Ends On Strong Ratings
tvN’s “Crash Landing on You” continues to gain steam!
On January 18, the romantic comedy drama starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin achieved its highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of “Crash Landing on You” scored an average nationwide rating of 11.5 percent and a peak of 12.7 percent, breaking the drama’s personal record from its previous broadcast.
“Crash Landing on You” also remained strong among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 7.3 percent and a peak of 8.1 percent; but it performed especially well with female viewers in their forties, with whom it scored a peak rating of 17.4 percent for the evening.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s “Chocolate” enjoyed a significant boost in its viewership for its series finale. The romance drama ended on an average nationwide rating of 4.6 percent, marking a considerable increase from its penultimate episode the night before.
In the public broadcast network realm, KBS 2TV’s “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” stayed strong with average ratings of 21.9 percent and 26.1 percent for its two parts, while SBS’s “Stove League” scored average ratings of 10.7 percent, 13.5 percent, and 16.5 percent for its latest broadcast. MBC’s “Never Twice” scored average ratings of 7.9 percent, 10.3 percent, 9.2 percent, and 10.4 percent for the night.
Finally, TV Chosun’s “Queen: Love and War” scored an average rating of 4.0 percent for its latest episode, while Channel A’s new drama “Touch” trailed with an average of 0.8 percent for the evening.
