Update: Lee Hi In Talks To Sign With Sunmi's Agency Following Departure From YG Entertainment

Lee Hi personally addressed fans via Instagram following the news reports about her potentially signing with the agency MAKEUS Entertainment.

She wrote:

Hello everyone, this is Lee Hi.

I’m currently still at at the stage where I’ve been meeting with good companies and people throughout January and I’m carefully considering personally which decision would be best, and no decision has been made yet. There still hasn’t been anything decided but a news report came out first, so to be honest I’ve been a bit surprised since this afternoon. If I make a decision soon and find an agency to work with among the companies I’m in positive talks with, then I hope that I’ll be the one to tell you all first. I’ll try hard to bring you good news by making a decision soon. Before that, since it will be before I make a decision, I’ll be grateful if you trust in me a bit more and wait without speculating.

Lee Hi’s former labelmate Sandara Park replied, “I’m always cheering on our Hi!”

MAKEUS Entertainment has responded to reports of signing with Lee Hi.

A source from the agency commented, “We are positively discussing with Lee Hi regarding an exclusive contract.”

Lee Hi has reportedly found a new agency!

The solo artist parted ways with YG Entertainment back in December.

On January 22, Edaily reported that the singer is now in the final stages of signing an exclusive contract with MAKEUS Entertainment.

The agency is also home to Sunmi, Urban Zakapa, and Park Won.
