3 Reasons To Look Forward To EXID's Hani's New Revenge Drama "XX"

The official premiere of MBC’s new drama “XX” is almost here!

“XX,” which is jointly produced by MBC and Playlist, tells the story of a speakeasy bar that is only accessible to those in the know. The drama will star EXID’s Hani as Yoon Nana, the head bartender of XX.

Aside from the exciting fact that Hani is starring in the drama as its protagonist, here are three other reasons to look forward to “XX”:

1. A thrilling story of revenge

With a trendy and secretive speakeasy bar as its backdrop, “XX” will follow the intriguing entanglements of four young characters—with cheating, betrayal, and revenge all in the mix.

2. The love-hate relationship between the two female leads

“XX” teases that viewers can look forward to the entertaining love-hate chemistry between head bartender Yoon Nana (played by Hani) and the bar’s privileged new owner Lee Rumi (played by Hwang Seung Eon). The two women were once best friends, but they now find themselves at odds and clashing with one another over every little incident.

3. A script by the writer behind “Love Playlist”

“XX” was penned by Lee Seul, the writer of the hit web series “Love Playlist”—which has accumulated a total of over 500 million views over multiple seasons. Viewers of the popular web series are already excited to see another addictive and compelling drama from the famous writer.

“XX” will premiere on MBC on January 25 at 12:45 a.m. KST, following the variety show “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”). The drama will also be available with English subtitles on Viki.
