Results For Day 2 Of '2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships – New Year Special'

MBC’s “2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships – New Year Special” continued with day two on January 25!

In the second part of the three-day special broadcast, idols went head-to-head in events such as archery, horseback riding, penalty shootouts, and eSports.

Archery (Girls)

Oh My Girl, gugudan, WJSN, and ITZY competed in this year’s female archery event.

In the match between gugudan and ITZY, gugudan scored 93 to ITZY’s 69, meaning gugudan advanced to the finals. In the match between Oh My Girl and WJSN, WJSN’s Bona scored a perfect gold and WJSN advanced with a score of 86 to Oh My Girl’s 66.

The final match between gugudan and WJSN will be broadcast on Day 3.

Archery (Boys)

Day 2 continued the male archery event with NCT Dream going up against Stray Kids. After NCT Dream scored 92 to Stray Kids’ 86, NCT Dream advanced to the finals.

The final match between NCT Dream and MONSTA X will be broadcast on Day 3.

Penalty Shootouts

Golden Child played against ONF in the quarterfinals and won with a score of 4 to 3.

They will play SF9, Stray Kids, and a special team consisting of “Produce 101 Season 2” alumni Jeong Sewoon, Ha Sung Woon, and Kim Jae Hwan in the semifinals on Day 3. (Day 3 will broadcast both the semifinals and finals in this event.)

Horseback Riding

Day 2 featured the preliminary match as well as the match for third and fourth place. Competing in this event were The Boyz’s Ju Haknyeon, Pink Fantasy’s Arang, MOMOLAND’s Hyebin, (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi, WJSN’s Dayoung, South Club’s Nam Tae Hyun, OnlyOneOf’s Junji, and JBJ95’s Kenta.

Ju Haknyeon, MOMOLAND’s Hyebin, WJSN’s Dayoung, and JBJ95’s Kenta advanced to the semi-finals. Ju Haknyeon and Kenta further advanced to the finals and in the third place match, Dayoung took the bronze medal.

The final will be broadcast on Day 3.

eSports

In the eSports soccer tournament, PENTAGON won against Golden Child and advanced to the final round. The “allied” team (former Wanna One members Lee Dae Hwi, Kim Jae Hwan, Ha Sung Woon, and Park Ji Hoon) won against SF9 and advanced to the final round.

In the end, the “allied” team took home the gold medal over PENTAGON.

In the solo PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) tournament, Ha Sung Woon and Park Ji Hoon went head-to-head and Ha Sung Woon eventually took the gold medal. Their “allied” team won the group PUBG tournament as well, making it a sweep for the former Wanna One members!

2020 ISAC will continue with Day 3 on January 27 at 5 p.m. KST.
