Girls' Generation's Seohyun Explains More About Her Character In Upcoming Short-Form Drama 'Hello Dracula'

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun has opened up about her role in the upcoming short-form drama, “Hello Dracula.”

The story of “Hello Dracula” will consist of three vignette-style stories: that of An Na and her mother Mi Young (Lee Ji Hyun), the only family she has in her life; Seo Yeon (Lee Joo Bin), an indie band vocalist who struggles between her dream and reality; and the story of a special friendship between the spoiled Ji Hyung (Seo Eun Yool) and the unwanted child Yoo Ra (Go Na Hee). The theme of the drama is facing those problems and questions you most want to avoid in life.

On January 30, the team behind “Hello Dracula” released a handful of still cuts from the drama, which gave some insight into the main character An Na (Seohyun), an elementary school teacher with a burdensome secret. Seohyun herself also gave some further details about her role, saying, “An Na is a character who bears the weight of the world on her shoulders while fiercely making the effort to show her mother, the only family she has in the world, that she is living her life confidently.”

Seohyun went on to say, “To me ‘Hello Dracula’ is a drama that I want to share with many people, something I’m excited about waiting for. It’s a warm and emotional human drama, and I hope that it becomes that sort of gift to the viewers, as well.”

‘Hello Dracula’ is directed by Kim Da Ye, who previously worked as a producer on works such as “Beautiful World” and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” and written by screenwriter Ha Jung Yoon. The drama will air both of its episodes on February 17 and 18 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
