Kim Yo Han Talks About Future Plans, Making His Acting Debut, And More

Kim Yo Han caught up with fans during his first V Live broadcast on February 5!

When asked what his hobby is lately, Kim Yo Han replied that he’s been watching dramas, saying he’s watching one in particular that started recently. He later shared that he’s been watching “Itaewon Class,” saying he’s finding it really fun.

It was recently confirmed that Kim Yo Han will star in the upcoming drama “School 2020.” In his broadcast, he said, “I’ve been rehearsing acting, but since it’s my first time, I’m very nervous to be honest.”

A fan asked if he’s still going to be an idol in addition to acting, and he said, “Of course. I’m acting for the first time through this, but I want to show fans myself as an idol too, so I won’t let go of that for sure. I’m preparing to show you myself as an idol too, so please look forward to it a lot.”

Fans complimented him on his purple hair and he said, “This is my first time dyeing my hair in such a significant way. I usually have black hair or slightly brown hair. I tried purple for the first time, is it okay?” When asked what color he’d like to dye his hair next, he said he’d like to try silver.

Kim Yo Han also tried inhaling helium from one of the balloons on set and laughed when it successfully changed his voice.

He later said, “I’ve been working hard for my fans who have been waiting a long time, and I’m going to keep working hard. Thank you, thank you for waiting. I’ll keep working harder.”

Kim Yo Han teased fans by saying he’d filmed something that day and although he couldn’t tell them what, he encouraged everyone to guess. He read out fans’ guesses that included an ad, photo shoot, drama, interview, TMI, and commercial. “Well it must be one of those,” he said with a laugh. “I can’t tell you!” When someone asked if he was filming for “School 2020,” he explained that he’s still rehearsing for that and not filming at the moment.

Kim Yo Han rose to fame after first appearing on “Produce X 101” in 2019. He was chosen as the first place winner of the show, and he debuted with the project group X1 starting in August. Following a controversy over the producer’s vote manipulation, the group disbanded in January. Kim Yo Han shared a letter to fans via Instagram after their disbandment.
