BTS's "Map Of The Soul" Tour Ticket Sales Surpass Ariana Grande And Taylor Swift
According to a report from Forbes, BTS’s concert tickets sold at a record rate in the first 72 hours!
Tickets for BTS’s “Map of the Soul” tour went on sale last week, and ticket exchange site StubHub shares that within the first three days of sales, BTS tickets beat sales for artists including Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
The site states that there were almost twice as many tickets sold for BTS’s tour as the whole Super Bowl. BTS ticket sales in the first 72 hours saw 560 percent growth, which is even higher than the 378 percent achieved by Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener” 2019 tour and the 258 percent increase for Taylor Swift’s “Lover” 2020 tour.
BTS’s fans ARMY have been buying tickets from 50 states and 24 countries, making BTS the No. 1 top-selling artist on StubHub in the past 30 days. This means they’ve surpassed other huge names including Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Elton John, and My Chemical Romance.
Forbes reports that BTS was StubHub’s biggest seller in 2019, and their “Love Yourself” world tour grossed more than $196.4 million.
The group’s much-anticipated “Map of the Soul” tour begins in April and will include stops in Korea, the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Many dates for the tour sold out within the first weekend.
BTS is currently gearing up to return on February 21 with their fourth full album “Map of the Soul: 7.”
