Joo Ji Hoon In Talks To Star In New Film From Producers Of "Along With The Gods" + "Ashfall"
Joo Ji Hoon may be starring in an exciting new movie!
On February 14, Joo Ji Hoon’s agency KeyEast confirmed that the actor was in talks for the leading role in the upcoming film “Silence” (literal title). A representative of the agency stated, “Joo Ji Hoon is currently in the midst of reviewing an offer to appear in the movie ‘Silence.'”
“Silence” will tell the story of the events that occur after a mysterious beast escapes during a chain-reaction car collision on a bridge one foggy night. The film will be helmed by Kim Tae Gon, the director of “Familyhood” (also known as “Goodbye Single”), and produced by Dexter Studios, the production company behind the wildly successful “Along with the Gods” film series and the recent hit “Ashfall.”
Should Joo Ji Hoon accept the role, it looks as though he will be in for a busy 2020: the actor is already starring in the upcoming SBS drama “Hyena” (premiering on February 21), as well as Season 2 of Netflix’s “Kingdom” (premiering on March 13). He is also slated to begin filming “Kidnapping” (working title)—a new movie in which he will star opposite Ha Jung Woo—following the end of filming for “Hyena,” after which he would reportedly be jumping immediately into filming “Silence.”
“Silence” is currently aiming to begin filming sometime in the second half of 2020.
