More Concerts Cancelled Or Postponed Due To Coronavirus + TWICE's Seoul Concert Taking Place As Planned
More events have been cancelled due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).
On February 13, Cube Entertainment stated that (G)I-DLE’s Bangkok concert scheduled for April 4 as part of their first world tour “I-LAND : WHO AM I” was postponed. The new date for the Bangkok concert will be announced at a later date.
On February 14, YG Entertainment shared, “Due to concerns regarding the spread of the COVID-19, AKMU’s nationwide tour on February 22 and 23 (Suwon), February 29 to March 1 (Ulsan), March 7 and 8 (Cheonan), as well as SECHSKIES’s Seoul concert from March 6 through 8 have been cancelled. We are keeping an eye on the trend of the spread of COVID-19 and placing the safety of fans and artists as our top priority. Though we sought for preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, we made the decision to cancel the concerts in order to relieve the fear over the additional patients [in Korea] and and to maintain a healthy environment.”
All tickets will be refunded without any extra fees. YG Entertainment stated that any additional changes in the concert schedules will be announced through the organizer or ticket purchasing sites.
On February 17, JYP Entertainment shared that GOT7’s “KEEP SPINNING” tour in Kuala Lumpur, scheduled for March 7 at the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, was canceled to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Ticket refund information will be announced here.
Meanwhile, TWICE’s “TWICELIGHTS in Seoul ‘FINALE'” will take place as planned on March 7 and 8 at KSPO Dome in Seoul. Special preventative measures will be taken, including measurement of all concertgoers’ body temperatures, placement of hand sanitizers, and disinfection of the venue prior to both concert dates. Those who bought tickets in advance but would not like to attend the concert due to concerns about their health can cancel their tickets without a cancellation fee.
